The night of the snake - legend.

The legends tell us, that the Devil roams the agave fields of Don Ernesto Molina.
A nonbeliever, Don Ernesto aimed to silence these rumors by spending the night camping in his open fields.
It is said, that on that fateful evening, he lost more than his mind.

His granddaughter (my mother) recants the tale of what happened that evening:

"Moments before daybreak, a presence snapped him from sleep. Bearing down above him an ominous
figure slipped sinister whispers into his ear; praising his bravery, and heeding he tread lightly. The words
burned into his memory, and became the recipe that compelled him to concoct the finest mezcal in the region."
